Mandawa

Each wall here tells a story and each door has a character behind it. Mandawa! This place lives upto the hype. Being a trading place which offered route for business, it often was called the Silk Route City. The Nawab here went ahead to build the most lavish palace cum fort here known as Mandawa fort.

Mandawa, Shekawati region( Rajasthan) Most of Bajrangi Bhaijaan's shooting happened in this beautiful town. Known for its old havelis and forts, it is a favourite shooting spot. The open fields and sand dunes featured in the movie as a part of Pakistan, is Mandawa in Rajasthan.

The Capital

The city of Fatehpur was established by Kayamkhani Nawab Fateh Mohd in 1508 AD. He also constructed the Fort of Fatehpur in 1516. The city once served as the capital of Sikar. Today, Fatehpur is popularly known as the culture capital of Shekhawati. It is full of stunning sights to visit, of which, the Dwarkadheesh Mandir, Singhania Haveli.

This was a reservoir constructed to give respite to the natives from the famine in 1956. This was built under relief project by widow of Bhagwan Das Bagla to help all the famine struck natives. Various birds and animals, including Nilgais, can be sighted near the water body. The place is enjoyable at sunsets when the birds are returning to their shelters.
